She started working on the F/V Sunset a 65' halibut-schooner and was later converted into a tender for salmon for Murat Aritan who worked as a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard has been engaged to Aritan and the couple has joined together to assert their claims to the industry. In 2007, now a mother of two young children Bella aged 3 as well as Andre 1 Bossard and then relocating back to live in Philadelphia, opened a direct market wholesale distributor of seafood named Otolith.
